When i was a child, the essence of an amazing game was expressed through its graphics. As i grew, so too did the technology behind the games i played. Eventually new standards were set, and the bar continued to rise. New considerations for "great games" emerged such as its A.I. and the depth of its game mechanics. As time passes these elements begin to plateau, and new standards are built atop them. In todays world, games are measured for greatness partially based upon the use of in-game Physics. Modern games such as the Half-Life 2 family and Halo 3 are benchmarks in the world of gaming physics. Latest on the scene, however, is Crysis. The Physics of Crysis are best not explained, but witnessed. Particularly using the following video, created by mod-scientist Baxxxtor as inspired by an earlier video by ABadFeeling.
